Chordbot App Reviews

I bought this app last week. I like it a lot. Lots of chords to experiment with, and thats great, but I have one problem. When adding another chord to the song structure, it changes other chords along with it! Thats a bummer. This happens almost every time. I have had to save after every chord addition. Why is it doing this? Please fix it and five stars for sure. This also has some nice sounds without having to go Midi and thats a plus too! Oh and a way to quickly undo would also be a plus. This app has really grown up since I installed it on iOS 4.2.1 and it was great then too. Theyve added features while maintaining simplicity. I cant wait til I can apply styles to individual chord patterns. Excellent. Buy it!

With new mixingng, and inst levels and styles this has got better. If youre good with cut and paste youll make great songs. I use it for songwriting chord progression ideas and practicing my piano and guitar with" Exporting to midi and futzing with a song on your DAW is fun and useful too.

I hardly ever write reviews but this app is amazing!! I use it in conjunction with garageband to do some pretty neat stuff and copying arrangements is super easy. This app has made me a one man band I cant say enough good things about it.

As a guitar player this is GREAT app for practice. Allows you to have your own backup band. I found it very intuitive and easy to use. I was able to put together my backing tracks quickly and easily. Love it! Well worth the money. Highly recommended.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys could add maracas, sandbox sounds like that that would go with the acoustic guitar. The drums are awesome electric guitar the acoustic guitar I dont know what legacy means if you would get back to me about that I would appreciate it theres nothing that comes up on my iPhone or iPad for that matter. The app is marvelous and has all the features that I like and a music production I can take it and save it and imported to my drum machine unfortunately the drum machine I have on my phone does not have maracas so you can see the difficulty there also if we had maracas on the on Chordbot I could add it and sequence it with the acoustic guitar. Thanks for a great app

I use most of the best ios music apps from Cubasis to Nave and SoundPrism........this is still one of my favorites. Best songwritting app for laying out chords and getting songs started. Hope Lars keeps on going with this and more...........

This is a fantastic app if you are looking to practice soloing over chord changes. You just program the chords in whatever configuration youd like and start playing... Its that simple. For jazz players, this is superb. It not only lets you use seventh chords in any key, but also provides extensions, all the inversions, and even some altered chords to challenge your playing. Moreover, you can choose from dozens of styles, from Latin to electronica... Just a great, useful tool.

Okay, I dont usually review anything but as I have been using your tool to sketch songs over the last few weeks I have been thinking man, I love this so darn much I simply must go tell this guy thank you and offer him some good feedback. Just now I noticed that your app is in reviewed. Please let me be the first to offer you my sincere apologies from everyone who hasnt seen this app yet, this is a huge sin simply not being featured by Apple, I can only guess they are embarrassed that Logic (I own this and a million other apps too) doesnt have anything at all capable of electronically sketching ideas and as you say creating a music pallet to write with. I would write on forever but iOS 7 has a review window that doesnt let you type much more, it is below the keyboard, how Apple missed this is beyond me but I promise you if you write songs you will love this app and you will use it often. Please add audio us, I will pay for a version 2 if you do.

I am so blown away by this app -- the musicality built into this program. It is sooo useful to the songwriter. And the variety of comping styles is amazing. An incredible amount of homework was done for sure! One ask: ability to drag chords around to easily change the progression.

I had put together several chords, while attempting to change one of them the screen froze & the app became unresponsive. After it recovered, it had deleted all of my chords.

I loved this application and used to use it in portrait mode (The lite version) For whatever reason, they changed to only landscape. I will give it 5 stars if they enable portrait mode again.

This app allows you to quickly create chord progressions as well as compose great sounding songs. It has some minor bugs such as resetting some of the previously entered chords while making edits to a track. The interface provides quick navigation to all the features, but you need to read the documentation to understand all the sections that the program offers. The ability to export both a MIDI file as well as a WAV file is very nice. I would easily pay 5 times the cost of this program.

This app hasnt worked on the iPad (Im using 3rd gen) since the update at the beginning of last November! Its now mid March and its still not fixed?!! I want my 5 bucks back!

Chordbot is an excellent chord sequencing app. Sounds that are built in are of top quality. It would be neat to be able to export as a mp4 or Mov file. I write my own songs and would like to be able to add lyrics to my works. This would be done by editing in a video editing program like Finl Cut Pro.

Just bought it and found it either crashed or froze on iOS 8, please fix this!
