Thanks for quick updates

Great!

Just the app I was awaiting for!

ottima very very good

utilissima complimenti! please dont stop working on it!

Excellent Compositional Aid! WOW!

I am so happy I bought this app. The sounds and arpeggios are great, not to mention the wealth of chord types. Only thing that could make this better would be to search for chord substitutions by melody notes or the ability to specify chords that share a common note. Still, though, this gets a 5/5 easy! Buy it!

Best app for singer/songwriters on iPad!

I have spent so much money on apps that, to be honest, are not even useful and are eventually deleted. This app allows you to get so much done and fast. Composed about 4-5 songs in one night. Im loving this app! My new favorite. I literally only use this app and Vocalive for working on my song ideas. This app does so much. 1. You can set the tempo to each section individually. 2. You can copy and paste sections, chords, and you can even copy the entire audio and paste it in other apps, like Vocalive! 3. The song plays in a loop. 4. You can have 8 instruments playing at one time. 5. Dozens of options for each instrument and how it sounds. Amazing app!!!

Chord to changed my life!

As a solo singer songwriter who lives in a rural community with a busy life that doesnt allow me to jam much with other musicians, this app has changed my life.

Headed the right way

I remember downloading this app several months and then deleting. I saw some good reviews of the latest version. I picked it up again, and yep, its headed in the perfect direction. 4 stars because there are some crashes and because there seems to be no effective auto-save I end up losing work. More patterns, comps for strings, some fill patterns for each comp, support for more rhythm patterns, more comps for non 4/4 times will make it even better. Whole heartedly recommend for any composer, arranger, performer figuring out chords for any number etc. Way to go mate!

Well conceived, excellent value, works perfectly

This app is precisely what I went looking for, only better. If youre a songwriter, it is perfect for sketching out & experimenting with chord progressions. I had tried other more fully-featured sequencing apps but they were all just too complicated & time-consuming for the kind of "sketching" I wanted to do. Chordbot nailed it in terms of intuitive interface, fast, smooth performance, more than enough stylistic options (in the paid version) to help you visualize the song you have in mind to create. Even the free Lite version is excellent and completely usable as-is. I was so grateful for having found it that I wanted to buy the full version in part just to thank and reward the developer. The additional functions in the paid version are well worth the price. Unlike some of the other reviews, I personally would not want to see more features crammed in. As-is, it works perfectly well as a songwriters companion (or as a backup band for improvising over) and Id hate to see it get bogged down and more complicated.

Was great when it worked

The app was great when it worked, but it became completely nonfunctional after the latest upgrade. The play function stopped working for me, making the app unusable.

OH MY GOD!

This is something I have been waiting for a long time to find! Thank you so much for this!

This app is beautiful.

The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the the lack of undo button. A few times Ive accidentally deleted a chord.

Incredible

Chordbot has evolved into a top notch writing tool. Everything you need to capture your ideas are in this app.

Amazing Songwriting Tool

A wonderful way to compose on the iPad and iPhone as well as a hands-on approach to learning theory. The sounds within the app are very good and the "Open In" feature for sending midi data into other apps feature is very well implemented. Chordbot has fast become one of my favorite apps for composing on the go. 5 stars.

Outstanding!

The new updates are simply amazing. I opened the program without knowing about all the new features, it was a great surprise. A virtual band in a box plain and simple. Thanks again.

Good but some weird hiccups

I like the layout, like the ease of use. The multiple instruemnts help write chords, since writing for piano is different then guitar. I love the support and the cheap price. However, there are a few things missing that other apps do and some weird, albeit unneccesary hiccups. Not being the best on the spot music theorist, it would be nice to know chords are in and out of scope of whatever key id like to record in. Suggester tells me after a few chords which keys my chords would fit in, restricting me from being too outside the box progression wise. Also, I understand after talking to a very quick and responsive help support, big big plus, that I have 9 tracks to work with, being able to add many layers of instruments to write an entire ensemble, however, I am annoyed that when I export my midi track all 9 tracks, even if I didnt use them, export. I.e. I write a simple C maj to D Maj chord progression in a piano tone, I export it as a midi file, when I import that midi file in Ableton or Logic it adds 9 seperate tracks, in fact in logic it creates 8 extra virtual instruments shutting down my workflow, Ableton is easier to delete. But why? Why does it always have to import 9 midi tracks, 8 of which that are empty?

technically flexible with few hiccups

Chordbot offers excellent export options though the .midi file option does need more general midi export refinement so each track is exported and subsequently able to be imported cleanly. Also an undo button is needed as the interface does not allow for easy and accurate deletion of chords without frequently worrying about careful timing of delete button pressing. Aside from these simple improvements that can be addressed in update, chordbot unlocked offers compelling options to create interesting and dynamic chord and song creation. enhancements like additional chord suggestion options that harmonize well and naming or displaying notes in each chord along with chord name would help the package sell even better

No Sleep After Purchase

Dont plan on getting much sleep after buying this. Its incredible. The more you use it, the more you will get in to it, although its great for a beginner. All that music that rolls around in your head you know you could create suddenly becomes a reality. Yes - Its that good.

Really Good...

This is a really fast way to prototype a progression and hear it with a complete band, rather than a bunch of bleeps and bloops. It has an awesome "Export MIDI To.." function which lists all the apps on you pad that can import MIDI. In may case the output went straight to Cubasis …. each instrument on its own track…. then I could reassign sounds, edit the MIDI, add effects and do a fader based mix. WOW! I kind of assumed I would be able to drag/rearrange to chord blocks … but the dev has a feature request link on the web site. Also good. Get it.

wrong inversion

the inversion are all wrong gotta fix example the root is the third inversion

Great app, Great Support

The app works very well and I really like it. I was having a problem and emailed the developer, within a few hours I had an answer from them, and it was really just as simple as clearing up some space on my iPad. (Admittedly, I should have thought of this myself). So if your play button is non functional, just erase some unused stuff from your device.
